Ilaiyaraja takes legal measures against Good Bad Fea Team for using their songs without consent in Ajith Film

Chennai: The well -known Indian music composer, Ilaiayaraja, has sent a legal notice to the creators of Mythri movies, the production house produced by the actor’s action artist Ajith Kumar ‘Good Bad Ugly’, looking for an apology and compensation of RS Five Crore for using his songs in his film without acquiring his permission.

He has also sought the elimination of distorted versions of his songs in the film.

Ilaiayajaja’s lawyer, Saravanan Annurai, while talking to a news channel on the subject, said: “We have sent a notice to Mythri’s filmmakers who have made this movie. They have used three songs: ‘Otha Rubai Tharen’, ‘Ilamai Idho Idho’ and ‘In Jodi Mangi Compensation “.

By giving details of the notice, the lawyer said: “Our copyright law, the copyright law of India, it is very clear that the rights of the creators are protected. It is clear that no one must violate these rights. The laws are there to ensure that the rights of a creator are not breached by any entity, which seeks to benefit from doing so. It is on the basis of these laws that we have now sent a notification to the house of production.”

The lawyer continued to say: “Another important aspect is that these songs have not been used as they were created. They have been distorted. When the works of a creator are distorted, the creator has the moral right to question that distortion. The law clearly says that distortion should not afford.”

When they affirmed that they had sent the notice to the production house for two reasons, the lawyer said that the first reason was that the creators, without the appropriate previous permission, used the songs with the copyright of Ilaiyaraja and two, had distorted their works.

The lawyer said they had sought compensation for five million rupees and also sought that the distorted versions were eliminated from the film. They also said they had demanded a public apology from the manufacturers.
